Electronic glue.
LiquidSemiTM solutions consist of patent pending chemistries that are engineered with semiconductor nanostructures and include proprietary ‘electronic glues’. Our electronic glue chemistry promotes electronic communication between the nanostructures and throughout the processed semiconductor solid films, increasing mobility and electronic performance. These chemistries can be manufactured and deposited in liquid form and so enable printing of semiconductor films and other structures.
Semiconductor materials produced using our proprietary, liquid semiconductor chemistries exhibit higher electronic performance versus competing solution-based technologies, including organic and other inorganic semiconductor nanomaterial chemistries. In addition, these materials are more stable than previously attempted solution-processed methods and suitable for use in electronic devices.
LiquidSemi(TM) technology is the result of nearly three decades of research from leading universities like Harvard and Berkeley, to firms like Samsung and IBM. These efforts have sought to enable printed semiconductors via solution-processed nanomaterials. BlackBox Semiconductor’s proprietary chemistry platform solves the key performance issue with previous attempts to optimize these materials in electronic devices. A dedicated IP strategy will help BlackBox penetrate existing markets and secure commercialization.
